Local 3295 Officer Nominations

AFSCME Local 3295 is accepting nominations for the following positions: 

• Executive Vice-President

• Second Vice-President

• Recording Secretary

• Executive Board Member (2)

• Trustee (2)

Nominations are open and will close December 3rd, 2025, 1:30pm.

Elections will be held by paper ballot, and sent via US mail, if needed.

Beyond voting, consider stepping into a leadership role. Our union thrives when members actively engage in decision making and leadership. To be eligible for office, one must be a member in good standing for the one year preceding the election. 
 

General information on officer positions: 
 

Every officer shall, upon assuming office, subscribe to the Obligation of an Officer in the International Constitution.  Officer terms are 2 years.

 

1. Vice president(s):

   • Assist the president.

   • Preside in meetings and perform presidential duties in the absence of the president.

   • Be an authorized cosigner of checks.

   • Act as chief steward at the site where they are employed to coordinate and communicate steward activities.

2. Recording Secretary:

   • Record and distribute written documentation of membership and executive board meetings.

   • Serve as the historian/archivist for the records of the local.

   • Carry official correspondence of the local.

3. Executive Board Member:

   • Voting member of the local executive board.

4. Trustee (2 year term):

   • Prepare an audit of the local finances at least annually.
